About the role 

We are seeking an inspiring and passionate Lead Educator to join our team at Greenslopes in our 3 to 5 year old room, and embark on a wonderful new journey with us. As a Lead Educator you will lead and support the studio team, through modelling a collaborative learning approach, ensuring the environment and teaching approaches are designed to enhance children’s ideas.
  
We pride ourselves on our exceptional Leadership structure consisting of a full-time Relationships Manager, responsible for all enrolment management and family engagement, a full-time non-contact Educational Leader who drives high quality educational outcomes and hands-on coaching for our educating team for best practice and a full-time Centre Director to lead quality and support our Centre achieve success. 

About the Centre 

Harmony Greenslopes is a 116-place centre located in a beautiful and unique building across two levels.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • The ability to provide strong foundations for children’s learning and development
  • Knowledge of early childhood development
  • Planning and implementing well-structured, age-appropriate learning goals and teaching programs that engage children and promote learning
  • The ability to identify, plan and engage in professional learning to improve practice
  • Professional behaviour and respectful interactions with children, families, and colleagues
  • Respectful, collaborative partnerships with families regarding their children’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Effective teaching strategies to support children’s literacy and numeracy achievement.

 Specific position requirements:

  • Current Blue Card
  • Current First Aid Certificate including asthma and anaphylaxis training
  • Current recognised resuscitation certificate
  • Current Child Protection Certificate or willingness to obtain 
  • Certificate III, Diploma in Children’s services (or ACECQA Approved qualification), or working towards
