About the role 

We are seeking an inspiring and passionate Lead Educator for our Kindergarten room, to join our team at Corinda and embark on a wonderful new journey with us. As a Lead Educator you will lead and support the Kindergarten studio team, through modelling a collaborative learning approach, ensuring the environment and teaching approaches are designed to enhance children’s ideas.
  
We pride ourselves on our exceptional Leadership structure consisting of a full-time Relationships Manager, responsible for all enrolment management and family engagement, a full-time non-contact Educational Leader who drives high quality educational outcomes and hands-on coaching for our educating team for best practice and a full-time Centre Director to lead quality and support our Centre achieve success. 

About the Centre 

Harmony Corinda is a 92-place centre with plenty of parking, located close to the train station and many amenities. Our indoor and outdoor environments areas are filled with amazing resources for children and Educators to enjoy. 
  
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • The ability to provide strong foundations for children’s learning and development
  • Knowledge of early childhood development
  • Planning and implementing well-structured, age-appropriate learning goals and teaching programs that engage children and promote learning
  • The ability to identify, plan and engage in professional learning to improve practice
  • Professional behaviour and respectful interactions with children, families, and colleagues
  • Respectful, collaborative partnerships with families regarding their children’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Effective teaching strategies to support children’s literacy and numeracy achievement.

 Specific position requirements:

  • Current Blue Card
  • Current First Aid Certificate including asthma and anaphylaxis training
  • Current recognised resuscitation certificate
  • Child Protection certificate or willingness to obtain. 
  • Diploma in Children’s services (or ACECQA Approved qualification), or working towards or studying towards the Bachelor in Early Childhood Education.
